She almost died trying to make you happy.” If that’s the case, then he might have a point. Yet Elena has exhibited some free will up to this point: She clearly didn’t drain that blond Damon picked out for her at Whitmore College..."

With the final installment of the Twilight movies opening on November 16, we couldn’t help but compare new vampire Bella (Kristen Stewart) against another neophyte bloodsucker: Elena (Nina Dobrev) from The Vampire Diaries.
Bella has bright red eyes; Elena’s go veiny when she sniffs blood. While the Twilight heroine takes to vampirism fairly easily, TVD’s leading lady is definitely struggling with the transformation. In the movie trailer, Bella takes out a mountain lion, while Elena vomited up her first taste of deer blood.
OK, maybe Bella has already mastered the powers that come along with vampirism, but while the new mom is solidly with Edward (Robert Pattinson), Elena has been having hot make out sessions with Stefan (Paul Wesley) and dirty dancing with Damon (Ian Somerhalder). Plus, Bella’s sort-of ex is in love with her daughter. Advantage, Elena.
