Ian Somerhalder och Joseph Morgan pratar om Klaroline:
Fan: Is Klaus going to end up with Caroline?
Ian: That would be a very hot hookup.
Joseph: I mean, I would like it. I love working with Candice and I love the chemistry of those two characters.
Ian: It's okay if you want to make out with Candice. Caroline's hot.
Joseph: I think Klaus has some work to do if he's going to earn her trust. You know, he's gotta stop throwing those tantrums. But I hope so, I'm all for that couple. So we'll see where the writers take it.
Julie Plec pratar om 'The love triangle'
TVD Season 4 Scoop — Julie Plec talks about our favorite love triangle: "I think one of the things we wanted to do was give her last human choice and to make it powerful and for that choice to be born out of who she is in that moment as a human." However, she chose Stefan when she was still human. That could change now that she's a vampire and will remember every time Damon has compelled her. Her feelings as a human may not stay the same now that she's a vampire, and that could have an effect not just on her relationship with Stefan, but "with everybody in her life" as well. It does allow them to add some new elements to the love triangle so it doesn't get stale. After all, having three seasons with the back and forth is enough. However, now that Elena's a vampire, there's a lot more to take into consideration when looking at Elena's relationship with the Salvatore brothers. Elena chose Stefan, and teasers about the upcoming season do seem to reveal that she'll stick by that, at least in the beginning. Whatever happens there, she's going to have enough to deal with as she becomes a vampire that the love triangle is just going to be another complication in her life that has been amplified.
Julie Plec om Rebekah och Katherine
MAJOR SPOILERS: After what we thought was the death of her big, bad brother, Rebekah decided it was time to kill Elena. Will she pay for what she did? Plec: “What I’m excited about with Rebekah [in Season 4], specifically, is that we have never had a true antagonist on a human/teenage level,” she noted. “We’ve never had our Valerie [from Beverly Hills, 90210] or our Amanda Woodward [from Melrose Place]. And with Rebekah, who is so vulnerable and damaged but has that tough exterior, we get to see a queen bee in action; we get to see a mean girl. As we get into the second half of their senior year, here’s Rebekah, still in Mystic Falls, heading back to school, completely ostracized from the community of people that she knows because of what she did to Elena and Matt [in the finale]. She’s completely loathed by the one guy [Matt] that she had a crush on, and also by her past love [Stefan]. What’s she going to do about that? How does a vampire, who has all kinds of mind control capabilities and sass, carve her way into the high school world when the people that we love hate her guts? Once she gets over the hump of being “World’s Most Hated” in the yearbook, how will she live? And what will her life be like?”
SPOILER Alert! Katherine fled town when a diabolical plan to kill Klaus backfired. Will she return to Mystic Falls in season 4? “You will not see nor hear of Katherine until Klaus is gone for good,” says Plec. “His survival ties into her appearance, or lack thereof.” As for whether Original vamp Elijah will return this season, Plec coyly offers a “Maybe''

Will The Vampire Diaries kids actually graduate and leave Mystic Falls this year? — Jess
NATALIE: Put your Kleenex away: Executive producer Julie Plec says it could be a while before those decisions will be made. However, the theme of moving on and growing up will be prevalent this year. “What is that passage of adulthood for these kids who have been living these tragic lives as young adults [with] no parents, no parental supervision?” Plec says. “That’s our next couple of seasons, to get them through senior year and into college… or not.”
On Rebekah’s Role as the ‘Mean Girl’ Queen Bee | “What I’m excited about with Rebekah [in Season 4], specifically, is that we have never had a true antagonist on a human/teenage level,” she noted. We’ve never had our Valerie [from Beverly Hills, 90210] or our Amanda Woodward [from Melrose Place]. How does a vampire, who has all kinds of mind control capabilities and sass, carve her way into the high school world when the people that we love hate her guts? In your mythology, when a person transitions into a vampire, their most dominant trait as a human is amplified. Do you guys already know which trait of Elena’s will become more prominent post-transition?
Yeah, we do and that’s a lot of what we’ve layered in this year as well. When Elijah (Daniel Gillies) says, “Your compassion is your greatest gift,” that was very much said as a reminder that that is who this girl is. Her compassion is her gift and her Achilles heel. She is fiercely loyal, fiercely protective, and very, very compassionate to those around her in that she can see the good and the bad. When all that stuff gets amplified, it’s going to make her, hopefully, kind of a badass, you know? Like, imagine Elena who is willing to stand up and fight the good fight for her brother and for her friends as a human—imagine her now with supernatural abilities. So in a fun way, it’s like the birth of a supernatural heroine and with Buffy being the beautiful foundation of that kind of character and Sydney Bristow in Alias, it’s a whole new world to explore, so we’re kind of excited about that.

Julie Plec pratar om Klaus
"We created the character last year… and our intention was, that after a long, arduous year of trying to vanquish and defeat the villain, our heroes would prevail and he would be no more, But when you have actors [like Joseph Morgan] who are that good, making such a distinct mark in the roles that they are playing, you have to let your storytelling evolve and wrap around that a little bit. We collectively decided around the middle of Season 3 that we weren’t done with Klaus — or Joseph."
- Julie Plec
Så det var meningen att Klaus skulle dö (verkligen dö) i säsongsfinalen.
